The Length of India

There is no place on earth like India to set your imagination on fire and rattle your belief systems. If you’ve always wanted to go but didn’t want any of the complications that are often associated with a trip to India and didn’t want to be lead around on a big tour, then my intimate tours may be just what you’ve been waiting for.

Last January on my, Two Worlds India Tour, we were a congenial group of 3 plus myself. We started in south India and gradually made our way north. That’s what the two worlds refers to: the south and north of India-which are like two different worlds.

This coming Jan. 2014 I am offering an updated version of this itinerary: The Length of India Tour. It will begin on Jan. 3 -24 January, 2014.Image

You will cross the threshold into a new world and be greeted by strangers and uncommonImage sights. These strangers will smile kindly at you. Many of the mundane things that happen daily in India will attract your attention and delight you, like people taking the time to give thanks for their blessings. Open your heart to India then be prepared for the unexpected. Around every corner a drama is unfolding, beckoning you to join in the celebration. Though India has a long list of problems, it truly is a celebration of life. Come celebrate your life and the wonderful world of India with me.

I refer to these trips as tours but they are more like traveling with a good friend who wants to take you home and  introduce you to their family; in my case it is India. I am not a big tour operator. This is a tiny venture. I have turned my passion and many years of travel in India into a labor of love. By the end of your time with me in India, you will not only have seen India, you will know India. Of course, I take care of everything so you can sit back and enjoy every second without any worries.

The photographs shown here are ones that I took last Jan. while on my trip. If you are curious please email me:  Would love to hear your reaction.

About ninagrandiose

I am based in NYC but travel regularly to India and Mexico. Both of these countries feel like home. In India I scour the country in search of fabulous textiles to incorporate into my clothing designs. I sit back and let the ambiance and wonder of India seep into my consciousness so I can be inspired to write about what India is for me. I bring a limited number of people to India on exclusive and intimate tours of my favorite hangouts. In Mexico I take in the natural beauty that surrounds me and dance the night away. I constantly give thanks for all this and am pleased to share it all with you.

Ma India leaves her mark on her guests in a most haunting, compelling and often surprising way. I suspect that even now you are trying to figure out how to get back there! I really value that you took the time to comment. Danyavad.
