That little has changed in over a month is distressing, disturbing and of course, inconvenient. The timing couldn’t be worse. This is marriage season that is a big deal in India and a big cash business, it is planting season and most of the farmers don’t have the cash for seeds (imagine what this means for the food supply down the road) and it’s the height of the tourist season as well that so many large and small businesses depend on. The magnitude of this blunder hasn’t hit yet.

Dreadful timing.
Because I posted from my phone which I am unfamiliar with, my replies to the comments ended up as independent posts. Oh well!
Sorry for the inconvenience. This is the way of life….most unpredictable..Things that happen in India are funny and sometimes irritating and certain other times dangerous. Because of the huge population, nobody cares for anybody and has to fend on self.
It certainly is an inconvenience for everyone, not just little ole me! It could have been so easily avoided with better planning. I know that I am stating the obvious…but why wasn’t it obvious to Modi as well?
Glad that I started seeing your blog which we were missing for sometime. How you are able to manage the demonetisation? .
The lump sum that I started with has dwindled considerably. I now change small amounts with the local money changers. When do you think that the cash flow will be back to normal?
Nobody knows. As per the financial experts it may take 3 to 6 months. Thanks for your prompt interaction
This is much longer than the 50 days Modi asked the country to wait. What to do?
I would be interested to know the current situation…… its a real shame
lovely people
